Position involved the neurobehavioral investigation of various aspects of alcohol addiction in several lines of alcohol preferring rats. Primarily, the research focused on the use of various neuroimaging techniques to assess neurological alterations as the result of exposure to alcohol. The neuroimaging techniques employed were the 2-deoxyglucose (2-DG) paradigm and immunohistochemistry. Images were analyzed using Scion Image and SPOT imaging.
